Boo Hewerdine with special guest Iona Lane

Dalton St Michael and All Angels Church 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

We are delighted to welcome Boo back to Acoustic Roots, following his sell-out appearance with us two years ago.

For over 30 years Boo Hewerdine has been considered one of the UK’s finest singer-songwriters. As lead singer of seminal band The Bible, through his subsequent solo work and his long-time collaboration with the incredible Eddi Reader, he has become something of a national treasure. Amongst the catalogue of other artists he has worked with are Chris Difford, Kris Drever and Emily Barker………

He is in demand as a writer, producer and performer. This year he is undertaking an extensive tour, singing songs from his new album ‘Before’ (due out 6th September) and his extensive back catalogue. A naturally gifted raconteur, his gigs are always a total joy.

The evening will be opened by rising local star Iona Lane. Iona is currently studying at Leeds College of Music with celebrated musicians such as Jim Moray; she is in great demand both as a solo artists and with her band Waterside, and she is also making a welcome return by popular demand.

The church venue has excellent acoustics, enhanced by Acoustic Roots’ much revered Bose PA setup. There is ample free parking, step free access, comfy seating and a licensed bar!
