We are delighted to welcome Lucy back, after her very successful appearance with us back in May 2017, but this time as a trio. Regulars will recall that her last performance was captured live by our sound engineer Ian, and her performance so good that it was released as a live CD, Live At The Old Courts. It was so popular that she was convinced to release it on download too! Have a listen on Spotify here, but if you like it, please support our independent musicians and buy a signed copy at the gig!
At just 18, PRS for Music chose Lucy as one of their “Class of 2010” for her promise as a young UK songwriter. Since then, her creativity, hard work and ethos towards songwriting has led her to gig extensively, write, release and tour critically acclaimed album Chasing Clocks & EP What’s in Front of Me, (both of which received airplay on major UK stations BBC Radio 2 & 6), and completed a three-year degree in songwriting at London-based institute BIMM; graduating with First Class Honours.
On the night, Lucy will be joined by long-standing sidekick Andy Crowdy on double bass and Pete Billington on keyboards and guitar. Andy has performed with the likes of Maddy Prior, Michael Messer, Diz Disley, and Dan Evans, and has also appeared in films and TV. Pete has performed as a backing musician for the likes of Jamie Cullum, Michael Ball, Paul Young and Alison Moyet and is a regular performer in the London West End (Thriller, Bat Out Of Hell, The Bodyguard). With musical pedigrees like that, we are in for a huge treat!

We are also delighted to welcome back Cheshire-based singer-songwriter Tim Lee. Tim was due to open the show for Clive Gregson back in June and arrived for soundcheck just as Clive phoned to cancel! We felt it only right to get him back as soon as possible. He’ll be playing some of his self-penned songs from his excellent latest album And Into The Woods.
